I think 1-50 in fates is causing a lot of 50's to be really bad players...

I'm getting a lot of tanks that don't know how to manage AoE agro, using flash only once and trying to get agro back by spamming shield lob..

make dungeon exp viable, mindless fates is just gonna cause really bad 50's.

what's funny is how many people jump all over the dev's because they don't fix something right away or respond instantly to them here is a clue for those type of players The world does not revolve around you you can throw a fit call people white knights and slam all you want you are doing nothing new that has not been seen in every mmo EVEN WOW! EQ, SWTOR, FFXI - ect

I'm saying that people are getting bored and in a result of being bored, they will quit, period. Whether YOU personally are having a good time is completely irrelevant because a lot of people aren't. You have to be insanely naive to think that's not gonna happen.

I'm basing this not only from the forums, heaps of my friends are finding less reasons to logon and have that "cbf" attitude because they are pigeon holed into dumb things. I'm seeing more and more people in shout say they are tired of doing the same thing over and over and losing motivation to level alts because fates are almost as boring as watching paint dry.

50? spam AK/WP...
leveling? spam Fates...

boring, there's no variety.

I am not "jumping" on the devs, I am merely stating what's wrong with the game and giving my own suggestions, and judging from all the Likes I've received, people tend to agree with me.

I want the game to be fun with variety, and I'm making sure Square receives the feedback they deserve.

Having Fates as the only viable option is not only bad for "boredness" but it also makes a lot of people really bad at their class. 50's not knowing how to tank... 50's not knowing about heal agro... it's a terrible design concept, dungeons need to be buffed so people understand how their class works in a 4-man and 8-man setup.

Buffing Dungeons means

1. Variety for both leveling and level 50's tome farming.
2. People will learn their class.
3. New Players aren't stuck in story queues for 3 hours.
4. Promotes MVP system

Why some people disagree with those 4 statements is mind boggling.

I was in a Fate group the other day, 6 tanks and 2 dps... and people wonder why DF takes long to pop?

It never ceases to amaze how people can be so ignorant and arrogant in their assumption that just because everything in a game works peachy for them it must therefore work perfectly for everyone else.

I was a 1.0 player leading a reasonably large Linkshell guild on Hyperion, and now I am one of the Leaders for a FC on Sargatanas and while our server is populated, we still experience derps who have Fate levelled all the way up. I intend to stick with the game for a long time because I know eventually SE will get off their arse and fix the army of small niggling bugs that drive us all nuts, but I will confess we regularly have people grumbling about the poor netcode causing AoE position update problems. Both WoW and SW:ToR had this problem in beta and/or launch, and their developers listened to their community resulting in it being fixed within a couple of months.

Full servers are full cause of bots, not because of a high player base.

You should quit and go play that perfect mmo which has every thing you are looking for! Quick! Before everyone else!

I think the op is a full on noob and he needs to go back to WoW

The leveling needs some work I will agree. I don't buy this bad player stuff. The whole combat system is crafting in motion. Find the rotation for that fight like you would for this recipe. Doesn't take mush to pick it up.

Having said that, I doubt it's as grim as all that. They just need to balance the alternatives around fates. More Leve exper and more seals in GC leve's. I'd like to see some boss chests in the guild instance quests too. Something that drops the pink stuff for the level and is exclusive to the class you are in the quest for. There are lots of ways to improve the experience. Just because it's a good idea, not because it's the end of the world as we know it.

VPN software to avoid AoE? What is that? 3rd party tool?

I think gear is to accesible for everybody. It is just a worthless grind. Anybody can be full darklight, but being full darklight does not make you a good player.

I think there should be more dungeons to get tomes or it becomes boring. Tome reward should be lower so you have accomplished something for each piece you got at the end. The difficulty must be higher. Content should not be able to be speed run. You must have always something to look forward that makes you keep playing and putting a cap weekly for myth tomes is a bad way of doing it. I can get myth cap in one day. I do not like coil (I have been in better dungeons in other games) and it is the only content you get after you are done with your relic quest.

I do not think the game is bad. It is a great experience just as many titles out there that are not mmos. The way it is designed won`t make a player keep playing it for to long. If a mmo fails to do this, it is not succesful.

Not a single suggestion in the OP has a negative impact on anyone's playing experience and doesn't affect anyone playing this game in any negative way - it simply makes the game a much better game. I wish SE would listen to us when we offer such intelligent suggestions to help them fix the game.

id kill to get philo tomes on lower level dungeons (if the job i queued for was already 50). If the job isnt 50, just kick the xp gained up a notch or two.

mid range dungeons like Qarn are pretty awesome and i'd love to run them more often but theres really no point if you have no need for the armor drops and are done leveling the jobs you care about.

Its a shame the game has been distilled down to how many philosophy tomes per hour people can make which leads to spamming AK/WP until you burnout and quit.

Here are a few thoughts which I am sure everyone knows:

Supermarkets have little tables (and other stores) which lists a big discount on items. You never considered buying them before, but it is on sale 2 for ____ so you buy it!

That commercial on TV it says X is so awesome, you laugh it off, but after a few weeks you consider buying it.

Bundles! Its to good to pass up, sure you only wanted to buy one thing, but the added value of a bundle makes you buy it anyway.

People are impulsive and they like having their fun now. They make decisions of what they will enjoy now. Very few plan ahead and focus on the now, living in the moment. I do not believe many here would not agree in two or three years this game will be exciting, filled of content, and be a lot of fun. By 1.23 I believe most enjoyed FFXIV! Still time is not something a MMO has, unless it keeps its players. Now games like WoW, FFXI, EQ2, UO, and EQ are still running, they will still have players who return every patch because all their old friends are still playing there. So people have the luxury of saying come back after patch X.X. FFXIV:ARR doesn't have that. If the people are not attached now, they will leave (save some of the legacy players). If the new people leave they are not going back in six months after all their only attachment is one month.

The only thing I would suggest adding to the list is making levequests unlimited. Currently the amount of exp is so low that you have to spam levequests to get any sort of exp gain. They refill so slowly that I almost never have any. I don't think there is really any point to having a limit since the exp is so low.
