Apparently the minimum required resolution of 1280x720 doesn't give them enough freedom and flexibility to design a proper GUI that relays information to the players in a natural, concise and intuitive way.

Annoying things about FFXIV is the players on the forums making a list of all the annoying things in ffxiv which everyone who played ffxiv or know about ffxiv should know of :)
