And if that fails, postpone it. And if that fails, postpone it. And if that fails, postpone it.

Defending SE's planning strategy at this point is hopeless. They've pushed back almost everything to do with FFXIV.
You're right, these things happen; however, they're supposed to be the exception, not the rule.
Either they need to follow through and actually MEET their goals, or their leaders need to set more realistic goals. Many of you here might not have experienced all of the delays in previous versions... if so maybe this still seems normal to you--but delays happen so much when it comes to XIV, that it's a surprise when something is here for the actual projected date.
Mid-september....1st of october...now early october? seriously SE? (guess it is classic SE FFXI was pretty much the same fail service, if only they didn't make games fun or at least handed it over to a competent service provider.)
Man i loved the other ff games but i didnt get to play ffxi. If only i knew in advance that se has the worst quality of service in the whole mmo genre, i wouldnt have bothered pre purchasing and supporting this game.
I though being a sub based game would improve the quality of service i guess im wrong. Other free to play mmos have better service than this piece of crap
Well to be honest, being stuck on a server where all my friends are on another server isn't fun.
Sure the game keeps you busy but playing with friends/FC mates, is what games like this are all about.
Before you allow new players to purchase the game and opening up servers so they can create characters where they want, how about you keep your existing customers happy first and provide them with a chance to be where they should have been right at the start of this release.
SE don't need more people and they never thinked that this game will have 20% of the peoplthey gote . And they don't really won't all the ppl they got now.so they do all they can so as much people will leave.then there will be no need for more servers
