I actually found paying to be a lot easier this time around and less time consuming.
I wouldn't say many - My server is still crowded as hell, the server I made a char on to check prices is still crowded as hell..so more people are doing billing procedures just fine compared to the "many" who cannot. I'm assuming it again is something to do with countries that only use certain billing systems that isn't compatible with Japan.
If SE truly had payment processing issues NO ONE would be able to pay for it - NO ONE, if a bank is unable to process checks guess who won't be able to get their money? EVERY SINGLE PERSON who uses that bank.
similier thread been goin 2 days now in technical forum,hundreds or more are having the same problem inc me, used several cards,paypal all the options. rang bank rang paypal everything ok my end. it doeas appear however to be affecting more 1.0 users those that bought the game seem to be subbing no problem, im still waiting for a reasonable response from SE on this matter. as for game cards i can only get 60 days and its about 20 pounds more expencive than using the other options.
Doubt it affects people just based on country or bank. I got my subscription just fine, but my husband couldn't. We're in the same country. Our credit cards are with the same bank, so it's not a bank issue. I tried to get his subscription on my credit card thinking it might be an issue with his card (we have different accounts), and no dice. Of course, that didn't stop SE from charging us that extra $1 though. I'm not sure if that extra charge also contributes to the problem.
Remember when only some people were affected by login issues during phase 4? Not every error is going to affect absolutely everyone.
By the way, many does not imply the majority. It just means many, ie, not an insignificant amount. Not everyone even needs to subscribe yet because plenty of people still have free time, so of course the servers will still be crowded.
Considering the number of people trying to throw their money at SE and SE won't accept it (it's not our fault; it's not our country, bank, or anything, and even if it was it's still SE's problem), don't you think this is, well, SE having payment processing issues?
I agree I am glad that many don't have problems paying but telling those who are that you don't and we are wrong is kinda rude and not helpful at all. This topic is also not about grammar corrections. I have sat and waited 3 hours to talk to support and the best they can tell me is "Try again in 24 hours" (this response for years)
To Tupsi: the biggest problem we are having is paying SE directly. The only way that has worked was using Ultimate pay > pay pal to actually get through or click and buy(now gone). Unfortunately you also have to pay a additional fee for this so for me to buy 3 months(x2 for my husbands acc) your charged about $10 extra to use this where as it really shouldn't be a problem to directly use your CC to pay SE directly.

Because it shouldn't be difficult. I have never ever EVER had a problem using my credit cards for anything or any game other then paying SE for FFXI and FFXIV. This is a problem that should be looked at and fixed. Maybe not a problem to you but to those of us suffering it.

Agree the layout of the SE account page is still bad and their customer service from what I hear is not good either.
