elitist ass-hats
always going to run into them.
Ran one yesterday where a dps came in and decided he was going to be both tank and dd( I was tank) , wouldn't help explain anything to the new people, would yell and curse at us in caps for the dumbest things. funny thing is, he was not that great he just thought he was heh , knew we were in for it when he came in and replied to my question of who is new to the dungeon. " dur hurr look at my gear it's all lvl 50 " and then he proceeded to run past us and start attacking things. ( so I sat down outside of the final boss and let him die a few times, get angry and leave, got new dps and we beat him.. felt bad for making the others endure it , but It's about the only tactic I have to show the consequences for being a douche) forgot to mention, that was in Qarn, so his 50 gear wasn't even 50 lol
Had another one in WP that flipped out on a guy because he had lvl 30 something gear in there, I understood why he was criticizing him.. but the way he did it dayumm
This just makes me wanna not do end game. So many stories of losers ruining the game.
I don't know about tanking, but I healed Amdapor in AF gear (one darklight bracelet), with only two wipes (both to Demon Wall) on my first run.
It strikes me as fishy that people think you need ilevel70 gear to do a dungeon that drops ilevel 60. AF gear is probably fine.
One thing you can do to help your group out, though, is look up guides to the fights ahead of time. Demon Wall in particular will wipe you out of nowhere if you don't know the dance before you take the floor.
After doing it my first time it really was not bad. I found a good group of guys who explained each fight briefly. We only died once on the last boss, the rest of the run was fine. I did it with my paladin gear and some gear bought off the marketplace. Was not that hard thanks to a helpful group :)
And no I did not wipe or cause any wipes. That was my first run. All other attempts the run would start and someone would leave or BM then leave presumably because of someones gear.
Ive seen so much bad mannered people though doing in CM. It literally takes a few seconds to give brief help to new players but instead you see players quit or BM the whole run. I got to find a good friendly free company to join :)
