E3 2011 Predictions

I'm pretty sure SE is too ashamed to show their product to anyone anymore. Everyone just spits in their face no matter what.

Square Enix is one of the largest Software and Media producers in Japan. They do not make just Video Games.

They also do Play Arts which is a line of actionfigures from both their games and other companies. Including now Capcom, Konami, and other Manga Printers.

They do Manga and Anime. They own Full Metal Alchemist, as well as many other Mangas.

They make Video Games.

They Publish "Western" Games localized to Japan under the "Extreme Edges" title.


Square Enix isn't some no name 1 shop Development group. They are a full blown Publishing house. They have as much chance of closing their entire shop as EA, or Activision Blizzard.

SE in japan is like EA is in the US. You think that 1) all they do is make games and 2) FFXIV is the only thing that their reputation is being based on?

SE is a huge publisher of media. One (possibly) failed MMO game is not going to sink them.

They're not going to show anything because whatever they have to show will be picked apart mercilessly. It's better for them to wait until they have had all the time in the world to adjust as they see fit.

I guess they're actually likely to talk about the game and show stuff, but not hyping that much or showing stuff not implemented. They're going to show PS3 version (but not announce a release date), probably have yoshida talk with the press and stuff like that, but leave the real hype train to their other titles.

A lot of you aren't really understanding. SE USE TO BE A HOUSE HOLD NAME BACK IN THE PS ONE DAYS, but as of ps3 they can't make a decent game. FF12 13 and 14 worse games in history. You may say oh no they were great, but yeah look at the reviews. Now then lets look at how the general public is growing up in this day and age most people are into fps now a days the rpg days are pretty much over other then western rpgs and the mmorpgs. jrpgs are just so awful now a days they can't compete with western games anymore. You can call me a troll or whatever, but the thing is I'm just open minded =x. Don't take me wrong I love SE ;D, but I'm just not blind :P.

I would like to see FFXIV at E3 again but i don't think we would see much :(
