Well, I for one don't see those people complaining about having problems with the timers, so I guess the timer is even fine for those groups that fail once or twice but to learn to avoid their mistakes.
Oh and how exactly is this cheating?
I have read a short guide (didn't even watch videos, so your point is moot) on each instance so far, just to know what to expect, where I have to be careful with pulling groups, where there were going to be roaming mobs, general abilities the bosses use and what I have to watch out for as a tank.
And guess what, I was still able to enjoy my dungeons A LOT, and probably a lot more than I would have if I knew jackshit and kept wiping the group and caused us to run out of time.
There IS NO VALID REASON to not at least READ a short guide about the dungeon. Nobody is expecting you to watch an hour long video about it (not that you couldn't if you play DPS) but a little bit of preparation means everyone gets to have a good time.
Don't expect to be rewarded for failing, you won't be, and I personally like that and don't want it to ever be changed.
I do, however agree that the timer should be suspended/extended if you lose a member for whatever reason. If someone drops the group (be it time constraints, rage quitting or whatever) it may not have been your fault and the group should not be punished for that.
