I highly doubt that a security breach has happened with SE because if there was I am pretty sure they would catch it and have to make a big announcement about us changing passwords and such.
I haven't had a One-time password on my account for a long time and I haven't been hacked. Also if somebody attempts to put in your password incorrectly multiple times then they will lock your account. The only thing that would make sense is that the people who have been hacked have a keylogger on their Comp and don't know it.
If you want to fix this then make sure you get the one time password asap. (if you have iphone or android it is free) Then make sure you use anti-virus and anti-spyware programs to comb through your HD and get rid of the crap.
but still all in all just get the Security Token, I just started using it and have had no issues what so ever with it. Definitely worth it even if you have to buy the little key chain thing for it.

There's absolutely no way that the breach was on my end. I didn't visit any suspicious sites. I use my PC for gaming and gaming only. I surf the web on my tablet. I didn't respond to any strange emails. I literally finished playing at around 9 on Tuesday night. Logged off, shut my PC down. Got up the next morning to log in, and my account was hacked. I am not sure, they could notice people are being hacked and decided to beef up their security for safety but doesn't really have to mean that the problem is on their end. Not trying to be a "White Knight" here but It just seems unlikely that there is a security breach on their end without them noticing it and giving the community a heads up.

I agree that it doesn't mean for sure that it's on their end. But for me personally I just can't think of a single way that someone could have gotten my info from me.

my account was hacked and all Gil stolen last night, played up till server maintenance kicked me off, and got up this morning was still more maintenance... i log back in when its over(account got locked) had to change PW and stuff unlocked and all Gil is gone.
somehow they hacked my account durring maintenance? or the short time between maintenances or something? wtf... if i really have to wait a week thats going to suck... Is rollback for sure what they do? or can they just send the money to you?
