Target System Adjustments 1.17a -- Not Good

@ elk, read my post again. I knew the issues, and this game is going on the ps3 at some point. Also not my fault you don't know how auto run works. I do know the base control schemes for kb and game pad.

Excellent idea! These should absolutely be implemented!

LOL @ keynboard users using this targeting mode. Go back to the old mode, it was way better. No wonder players fought/targeted like they were mentally challenged for a couple weeks. They were using the wrong targeting mode.

But once again you have never touched the game so how can you "know" how anything works, you may have read and have theory's but you truly have no idea how anything responds, how much lag there is, how the UI interfaces with keyboard or gamepad commands you know nothing. This game is nothing like FFXI, you currently as of this writing have 2,089 posts based on theory which is fine, but honestly how can you comment on commands for the keyboard or for the gamepad when you cant even run the game.

As a gamepad user I LOVE these targeting changes. We desperately needed something like this.

It should be optional for those people who for whatever reason don't like it.

Bah, better later than never, I guess.

This new targeting crap is beyond crap, i dont know if its broken or not.
It seems to get stuck on either, and after you put down your weapon it dosent changed back to w/e mode i picked first.

So horrible it's worth not playing with this horrible new change.

For gods sake make up your mind, keep what we had last time.

The system is exactly the same with the exception of being able to change the secondary (left/right) targeting mode on targeting mode A. As Betelgeuzah said, just set it to enemy (left/right = enemy, up/down = party).

People complained a lot last and this week about controller targeting sucking and it was changed. Be careful what you wish for.

Tell that to the ppl that bitched about how crappy the targeting system was, i was freakin ok what we hade since beta up until this bullshit.

It GETS STUCK !

And imo IT FREAKIN sux now!

actually no i use a controller and having the same issue. it needs to go back to the way it was pre patch.

was out mining and didn't notice it changed on me so got attacked by a miteling on my 29 miner. i had to change to my thm just to find out that it changed itself to friendly only. the arrow buttons do not change back to all so had to put my weapon back up, grab my keyboard, type in targetmode b, then targermode a, and finally pull my weapon out and attack the mob. thank goodness it was a weak mob beating on me or i would been dead due to this stupidity. a bug report has been reported on this junk.
