Suggestion: Chat Background Transparency

I agree 100%, I cant read jack all when I am in any shroud area.

So I let this fall by the wayside for a while, but I just wanted to say:

It is absolutely unacceptable that we should have to wait until after 2.2 to have a background transparency slider. This is an obscenely simple UI feature that provides far more benefit than the effort it takes to implement it. Get your shit together, SE, and help us, or do you just not freaking care anymore?

(Yes, I'm upset. I'm tired of dealing with headaches and being unable to follow chats. I'm tired of having to stick myself somewhere dark and not busy just to talk to people. I'm tired of SE putting something off that could be done in a matter of hours.)

It would maybe help if you submitted screen captures showing the issue with the log readability. What's weird, no one is asking to change the duty list to also have a transparency selector. Considering the background of the duty list is completely transparent, maybe a simple slider isn't the solution. Actually a slider isn't needed they just need to find a way to make the log window easily readable at all times.

I hope they add an opacity slider soon. I would like to keep my chat transparent while out in the open world and opaque when in raids.

Need this. I don't get headaches from reading the log, but it sure as hell isn't easy to read. Let me darken it, damn it.

Would also like the option to make the chat log completely transparent and disappear when there is no activity in the log.

I would also like to see this option for us to use cause I really don't like the scheme at the moment.

Come on, we've got a patch incoming (2.16 or something like that - can't remember the number). Please, for the love of all that is holy and unholy, give us relief. Give us a slider for the chatbox background!

Or at the very least a toggle to turn off transparency. And because some people in this forums have weird ideas about how difficult some things are to program, let me point out that the function is already in game:

I don't see chat background transparency adjustment in the 2.16 patchnotes, Squee. Get with the program, please!
