Yes, but that doesn't mean that those other games won't get even better than they are now.

Tera is already in widespread release in Korea, and it's a B+ right from the start.

It's been 6 months since release, and Final Fantasy 14 has gone from a D- to a D+

Is it gonna take another 6 months for the game to get to a C grade? I sure hope not.

I'm liking the patches and the changes so far, for the most part. However, at this pace, they are gonna have a really rough time catching up to the other games in quality by the time they have their NA and EU releases.

And for this, I am grateful.

I think a lot has been done 6 months after release, it only took changing development teams to a more experienced one to get the real changes started. From the short time Yoshi-P has been at the helm I'd say a lot has been done so far. Since theyre pretty much redoing the whole game, just think of it as FFXIV hasnt really been released yet. But, we still get to play it. For free ^^

FF14 is more of a grind than TERA. If anything TERA is way too easy.

And notice the lack of Auto-attack yet still looks fun.

It's not. If you aren't paying attention (all of your party members, not just the tanks and the healers) and actively evading attacks and moving yourselves for optimal striking position, you will get destroyed.

You playin it now?

It's all going to come down to the combat system for me.

If the revamp hits and the combat system is massively improved, I'll probably stick with XIV. If not, it'll be Tera or maybe SWTOR for me.

Or maybe I'll wise up and not play MMOs...

Well the general uproar is that Koreans think it is too grindless and the westernising process is basically just making it even more grindless, so it stands to reason that it will be pretty grindless.

And Rentai Humpster I didn't mean it was easy combat-wise, I meant that there will not be much grind.

What if the combat system were more like.... Advent Children and Dissadea? Thats what I am hopin for. It may take a while to get to THAT level, but it can happen.

I am actually going to put up a suggestion post for such things.

right now it is soooo not that, i do think the combat is deeper than many people realize due to easy mobs, but it is definately not exciting. you get like 2 or 3 unique looking moves, and the rest is like basic attack with some effect on it. Some times hard to believe the people who did all the over the top super moves in rpgs are the ones making this game.

Omni slash, lionheart, summons that fly from space and destroy the planet, people that can fight giant robots hand to hand. and now......
