Black Mage needs a buff to allow casting while Moving.

Leveled SMN to 50 and now bringing BLM and ARC to 50 as well, I'm noticing how bad it feels to have to stand still with the BLM, but that's the way it should be, that's the point of having different classes, each with their own strengths and weaknesses...

It's the limits of other classes that make me realize the strong points of some and vice versa.

You need Quelling Strikes as well, and Virus is nothing special but still better to have.

Black Mage or in reality any caster shouldn't be able to move while casting. Firstly it messes with the lore as casting takes concentration and focus that moving would not afford. Secondarily you have a very extensive cast range for spells, you need to be focusing on the back of a boss while the tank takes the hits from the front, this will help with many but not all AoEs. If it is a circular map wide AoE you shouldn't be casting anyway, you should just be running away. Thirdly, this is part of the aggro/enmity control management in this game. If a Black Mage was reliably casting with no ways to interrupt them (basically every boss fight if you have a good tank and all instant cast spells) then enmity would heavily flow to the Black Mage consistently.

Consider it this way, a Black Mage is a nuker/CC that requires actual strategy and positioning to be good. You are not just a cannon, you have to be aware of your surroundings.
