I'd have to disagree with your opinion on hotbars for the moment, as I've found them pretty okay. But when it comes to targeting, the fact that pets actually count as actual monsters under the monster filter is extremely annoying. I have no reason whatsoever to be targeting an Egi, unless it's a 'last resort' type of thing.Quote:

I think they did a good job with it. I think the graphics are fine and get the job done. As far as the targeting system goes, I have never had a problem and have been healing just fine. There are other ways around it. The controller is not necessary! You can hook up a mouse and keyboard and play like that complete with key-bindings and hotkeys. The only thing is your are stuck with the cross bar. You can use macros. And quite frankly it's a hell of a lot better than not having it at all on the ps3. Maybe I'm just a little more grateful than others.

I only use the ps3 version for casual farming and crafting. I was kinda shocked by the look of the ps3 version at the first boot as well. I think the alpha/beta builds they showed us looked better. they should of gave the ps3 version the option to have the pc UI. it will work since you can use KB/M on the ps3. I hope they patch that in some day. seeing the ps3 version is giving me some concern of the ps4 version. yes the ps4 has the ram but its using something similar to a 7770 card I think. the ps4 version might not be 60 fps as well.
SE kept their promise of a ps3 version and they did. I don't really think people will be on the ps3 version for years to come unless SE creates a godly patch fixing the ps3 issues in which they can but for now they have other things to take of -

-The ONLY issue with PS3 is when mobs/players don't load when doing fates and the like. I literally can not participate in some fates simply because the mobs will not load. it is hands down the most annoying freaking crap ever. It's also ridiculously annoying when skills don't come out properly and my avatar is just running with the weapon in his left hand... even while not moving, he's running in place. The cool-downs go into effect, but you'll see absolutely nothing happening except for an unsheathed weapon and a bad version of the "Running-man".
-Targeting? You get used to it; Play with it for a while. I can target whatever I need to target whenever I choose.
-Graphics? It's to be expected. It's old stuff. -

I think the biggest issue here is that, at least for me, it feels like they didn't really create enough variety in terms of graphical options. Take a look at the PC version for instance, some of the textures are very poor, and I run the game on max settings on a GTX 780 build. During some cutscenes, armor, weapons and objects look downright bad. I'm led to believe that they lowered a bunch of textures just for the sake of stability on PS3 .
They could have added better graphical options for the PC version, and likewise, added much lower graphical options for the PS3 version so that players get a choice to toggle between those settings to get the performance they want. -
