TIRED OF ALL THE PROBLEMS GOING ON?! DO WHAT I AM DOING

I've been trying to get on my legacy server all day today and only once saw a que, which dropped to a world is full message.
I can understand why everyone who is unable to connect is so frustrated. I'm also quite frustrated. What I don't understand is how they failed to calculate the influx of players. I purchased 1.0 back when it was released, and I suffered as much as many other players did back then too. I had faith and hope then that they would fix their mistake, and provide something of value to me to make right what was wrong.

Not having to buy ARR was the right decision to make for legacy players. I felt like some value was given to my relationship with SE. Giving me 2 weeks to play without subscribing was another nice gesture, granted I felt it was a little cheap considering the problems the legacy people faced back in 2010. I'd say overall, they have done a very nice job trying to make right their mistakes.

Yet, here we are. Almost come full circle. At another roadblock. I saw that they are "considering" extending the free period for another week after this wednesdays update, which should be a no brainer.

The bottom line here though is a cliche motto that we all have heard.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

These constant problems will not be forgotten. Fans aren't stupid, our money is important to us, and so is our time. We respect those who respect us, and we put hours into our entertainment because we put hours into our jobs. When we start to feel taken advantage of, we will find someone else to follow.

What?!!! that made me /laugh! How does someone's bus driving ability affect who comes on a bus? Be realistic. If you said the bus was full then that is another story. Quit taking this post as a, "I fully support SE and how they are dealing with this situation." I am simply saying, "If the bus is full, and a bigger one is on the way, your going to have to wait." so why not do something else and not get so angry. /cheer

I've been around the block a long time and I am willing to support a game that really pleases me. This game has pleased me, when I can play. But with how its currently been running, its too inconsistent. I dont ever know when I"ll get on to my legacy character, and I never know how long it will take to finally get a World Que. I dont care if the que would show 150,000 - if I saw a que every time I tried to log in, I would be more reassured.

I suppose at the end of the day, we have an emotional attachment as fans to the game because we invested emotional or physical pain involved in earning the money or time off to play the game, and we are being kicked in the crotch for our trouble. It's disheartening, its frustrating, its upsetting.

Yes, we could go walk our dogs(if we had them) or go for a picnic(by ourselves) or even go to ihop(and sit alone) but in our melancholy states, we would only be thinking of how frustrated we are that we can't enjoy our time in the manor we want.

Thats my take on it, anyway. I'm simply disheartened by this experience and melancholy because I simply wanted to enjoy my long weekend in solitude to Eorzea and my magics.

This has got to be the dumbest thread I have seen posted in a long, long time.

1.) I play on a server that has been closed to character creation since OB, that means the playerbase on said server is the playerbase that already existed and still the servers can't handle those players. What kind of short-sighted company remodels their business into one that can't even support their CURRENT CUSTOMER BASE and then expects to draw in new customers?

2.) Of course there were fewer players during beta, customers don't want a half finished product! This is not a new business concept, people want to use a product that's fully functional and so many wait until the product is up to par.

3.) Contrary to popular belief, telling people who are frustrated to calm down does not calm anyone down and it doesn't solve anything either. The people complaining are not the problem they are a symptom of the problem and until the underlying problem is fixed the symptoms will continue.

In conclusion : Get off your high horse and stop trying to shame people into not talking about something they have every right to be angry with.

Uh, the reason you have to wait is because the bus is full. Sorry, I thought that would be a given. I see you can't read between the lines. I'll be sure to write in every single detail just for you, sweety. Someone's bus driving ability is referring to someone's skill at dealing with servers (which you also talked about). Again, I thought that was a given.. I guess not.
