The bot i found that SE wont do anything about

I doubt it. Auto reply can be easily discovered and proven (just by finding questions that the auto reply cannot react to). It's much more realistic to assume that there actually is someone moving around the bots by multiboxing. Gil farming firms don't really need fully automated bots. It's more productive to find low-cost manpower in less developed countries (like eastern europe for instance)

What I'd like to know is what is the the 7+ taru's running about locked on to each other and at crystals near the city's. I have a strong suspiciousion that this could be some sort of botting but I'm clueless. They are normally in Gridania areas but I saw a group of them in Horizon. No linkshell on either. Anyone have thoughts on this?

It's more probably a live gil farmer actually multiboxing (IE: using multiple computers to control multiple characters). All he needs to do is to put the lalafells in follow when he moves, dump them at the aetherite, and respond with each to the GM if they come to investigate.

Reporting is never bad. After all the GMs are paid to investigate on those cases. But I wouldn't expect results, unless the gil farmer is chaught red-handed doing something actually against the eula. Just multiboxing isn't illicit.

Hello Genine were on the same server and maybe you have ben around when i have ben at camps. When i see that group of Lala's and Scr kingking and Scr Angel droping them off i allways tell everyone who is at Horizon ( usualy like 15~25 ppl) to report them. Next time i see them im going to follow them and record them.

You know its really not hard for a GM to just pop on screen to check something out. I mean thay pop to hull you off to GM jail. To get you unstuck. But not for accual game related issues. And to say this boting program isent that bad all its used for is gil farming. Hell the New NMS arnt hard to kill (* most drop crap) but think if 3 level 50 bots Claim Alux instantly just to claim it just so you cant get an item Like thay did in 11 with Mee dag the punisher then you are totaly nieve. Because as was said once something "Important" or "Special" is relesed the Bots will all be level 50 and all mass claiming NMs. But i guess thats ok right..

Again once i see Scr Kingking at Horizon ill record it and post it.

very true. Also you can report websites you see selling gil, items and accounts. Since all are against the rules. Heck do SE a favor and hunt some down and report it.

There were 3 bots that i was very determined to get rid of at one point, one who we found was even in our shell

all 3 have since been disappeared permanently.


the STF may be "not operating" at full capacity right now but someone is doing something about it. Chances are they are just looking at extreme and very obvious cases right now though.

ALso keep in mind, just because you report someone doesnt make it an auto ban, and if they are investigated while they are playing legit.....the ban wont happen either.

Does anyone know if there is a place to report real money trading or botting activity on the forums? If not I think this would be a great idea to add to the forums. How easy would that be!?!
