Dear OP,
Please come back and repost this thread when you one shot Titan Hardmode in nothing but AF, without reading any guides, nor watching any videos.
Until then, you're not doing the needful.
Hugs and kisses,
Everyone @50
whether it is too difficult or too easy is irrelevant.
play if you are happy, dont play if you are not having fun.
i like the game so far just as is.
had enough of the ffxi craziness for many many years, time to have a game, not a job, nor something that is more stressful the a cardiac arrest at my workplace.
numbers will show in time how many like it and how many dont. till then stay and accept the game, or go, its really only something you can decide.
Titan and the Coil of Bahamut are very challenging. Please reach 50, fail to these area's and then repost the game is too easy.
go fight garuda and tell me how easy she is, go do av and tell me how easy it is. you are doing the baby instances and think they are the real deal. rofl they are nothing but tutorials. it will get hard and you WILL cry about it
I used to think it was too easy, but it does get more difficult at higher levels.
Hey guys, remember on the beta forums when people under level 10 whined about combat being too simple and being able to "spam 1 button to win forever"?
Good times.
Nothing in my post indicates I was asking anything or whining.
My post was to push back the white knights who smelled the blood in the forums and swarmed the OP, and to also correct the assumptions people make: he never said he thought they should make the field mobs hard enough to group for, he said grouping isn't necessary. You're assuming that's what he meant (which, it could be!). I, on the other hand, was thinking he could have meant grouping for the main storyline quests and stuff like that.
The OP has valid points and he's not the only one who's dismayed by the difficulty level of the game.
Fostering the "this is not the game for you" attitude is an unfortunate way to look at it. Instead of hoping for improvement, you seem to just want to lay down and take it.
Edit: See this is what I'm talking about. Since I wrote this second post, 2 people have directly insulted me for supporting someone's opinion. That's hardcore white-knighting, especially when you base your rebuttals off of... oh yeah "NOTHING". Just anger that I'm taking a negative stance on your life in Eorzea.
I also find it amusing that you assume I dislike the game. I'm playing it with my friends. I'm having fun because I'm with my friends and we're learning together. But you guys are SO quick to jump on anyone... like I said: worst part of the community.
Ugh these people...
Most games a built on a learning and difficulty curve. You won't experience actual difficulty until later levels. Yet you bitch and bitch because you want people to think you're hardcore, but if you actually played to endgame you would probably wipe like the crybaby you are. I'm still just tanking low level shit and getting comfortable with aggro mechanics. I'm not pissed it's easy now because I know difficult content will come.
And to Dastard: Fighting more than one mob isn't against the game design, but whatever you need to justify being a pussy. And in this instance, it's not white knighting to tell someone you should probably finish a game before you fucking piss about it.
