Yup. It's pointless dude. What is the point of an MMO if you beat everything and have to wait for an update to have something to do.

I'm for one not insulting no one casual players are limiting hardcore players game play. If only casual meet us in the middle but guess what they don't and don't really care the game be easy but at least toss us a bone as hardcore and not make it easy later because casual ended up liking it so they end up making our stuff easy so they can do.
If yoshi-p does what he say two system one casual and one hardcore then at the end no one really going to do the hardcore version because they be doing casual one and we all have to do it with them because we wont have enough players to do it with :(
hm.. I think even after all these complain(mostly from hardcore player),
SE will still prioritize by changing battle system, fix bug, and causal player content. To be ready for ps3 release for easier access by new player, they can't have any mistake this time so they need to start from the bottom.
SE will probabaly add most of the end-game content when they're going to charge monthly fee from old player.
It makes sense for a SE to do so. But this really pis a lot of rank50 player in this whole process.
People need to stop expecting some kind of huge strategic fight until after the combat changes. They are talking about revamping major aspects of combat and what might be challenging now might turn into a joke when they change the combat. Then what?
It's a better idea to implement low-midlevel (where difficulty isn't as big of a deal) stuff prior to combat changes and then work on difficult strategic battles once the combat changes are in and they have something to balance content around.
If you have beaten all the normal content that you are interested in participating in for your character, in most MMO's you take that time waiting for the next major update to help your friends get up to your level or point in the content as well so that when the new content comes out you can share it with them together.
You also participate in crafting and gathering and the economy. Then if your still bored you can go hunting for items to sell or give away. Or you could just hang out. Eventually the content will dwarf you and there will be more content then you can keep up with though. I know it happened to me in XI after TOAU came out.
Its an Update. Not an Expansion. Remember that.
