I don't suppose anyone has any tips for the Chimera? Parties I've been in are fine with mostly everything except Voice of the Ram and it's huge range and massive damage.
Aside stunning/silencing it, or running to the other side of the instance, is there a trick to it?

Any other tips for any part of that fight are appreciated all the same!


Also, the materia for DRG relic is 2 x Savage Aim III. :)

^ thanks to Caol from my LS for the above. All of the WHM components are from l50 rare node gathering. Trillium bulb (for growth formula delta) is off hand in eastern shroud. Thavarian mistletoe and vampire plant are logging in Coerthas.

I think this may be a tooltip bug. Should I use a Barbarian Bardiche (as it should) or a Sanguine Scepter?

Is the NPC elsewhere if I already started and got far in 1.0?

First thing is first, for PLD you require two Battledance Materia III melded with the scimitar.

Second, I am a first time FFXIV player on a non-legacy server. I've hit 50 and have this quest now but have encountered a problem. I have had no indication or direction to The Wanderer's Palace, nor do I have any such thing in my duty finder. Is there some kind of quest that you have to get to in order to unlock this? I am to the point where I can do Ifrit (hard) and Amdapor Keep (from GC). What am I missing here?

Nope, Relic +1 are already obtainable from Gerolt's forge. Need normal relic plus 3 Thavnarian Mist (Only 1 for Holy Shield +1). These are sold at Rowena's for 300 Tombs of Mythology apiece.

I'd like to confirm for everyone that PLD requires Aeolian Scimitar + 2 Battledance III materia.

DRG is Champions Lance with 2x Savage Aim III materia
