Ok, I understand and get this, but in the mean time, something needs to be done as a temporary work around to let all players get online to play right now. At this point, this is getting ridiculous. You can defend this all you want, but there are a lot of us out there that have paid money to play and now we basically have to wait a few additional weeks to even get online so the "novelty" wears off where worlds aren't full anymore.
if you think any relevant number of people will "cancel their subscription" today with a month left to play, and they'll never touch the game again, you're entirely naive.
Not everyone acts on a knee jerk fit on rage over temporary issues.
You're assuming the situation will last weeks, let alone a few weeks, when we're not even a full day in.
Don't give two f's how or what they do to fix it...what I do know is if I can't play I will not be paying. Simple as that.
adding servers = keeping customers
Not adding servers = losing customers
its that simple.
SE are adding more JP servers I wonder why!
There's a point where opening servers is necessary....When ~XX,XXX players are playing Numpad0 game at the start screen spamming, only to get error 1017, it's a serious issue. It's to the point now where they just don't want more than X amount of people to play their game and they are discouraging people from playing it before they even give it a chance to see if it's legitimately a good game or not.
Anyone who defends the fact that it has been 4 days since early access began and there are some pre-order people who haven't even been able to log on a single time needs a head examination.
Will the servers fix? Yes, but at the rate it's looking, it will be because players have given up and abandoned all hope....not because SE fixed the issue. It's bad for their numbers, for sure.
Add an auto-kick AFK feature and won't add more servers won't solve anything.
You can call me a programmer, I am sure smartass programmers can find a way to build an anti-afk program and share it with others who need it and it's pretty very unfair for PS3 users. Programmers in SE aren't as good as Blizzard's. I understand SE probably have money problems to able to afford more servers. I can be very patient about it myself.
I vote for more servers (like my vote counts anyway). If you disagree please make sure to post if you are logged in. If so please log out and try to log back in, I dare you.
Stop demanding servers? Their current configuration could barely manage the early access crowd.
