I get the same issue and its not ONLY in instances certain quest mob AoE do the same thing, the goblin Bomb Toss is one that comes to mind, I'm in Australia and playing on a JP server so yes I will have a little server delay but I can tell you now this should not be happening like it is. There is almost no delay in casting my abilities or movement skips / rubber banding it purely happens on these ground targeted AoE abilities where you get outside the range of the skill before the target area disappears (I'm also not talking about getting out 0.5s beforehand this is at least 1 second or longer) and still get hit.

If I had crappy internet I would spend my time on some productive in life and not play any online game. In fact crappy internet would do me good.

I have the same issue, i was tanking the Dragon from Brayflox's Longstop and the healer was getting pissy with me for being in the 'Fire breath' attack but my client showed me well out of the way.
I currently play from Australia on the Exodus server
My ping to the server (184.107.107.176) is 282ms so im assuming there is a 2.8 sec delay from client to server...?
Makes it hard being a tank!

Same problems , i am in the netherlands and guess what my main is a tank.. so i beated most bosses from mainstory quite because they are easy.
Next i get to brayflox , and i failed 20 times in a row.. because i cannot get out of the damn red breath attack , people ofc were cussing at me i need to move earlyer.. but you see the red square when it's already too late , no matter how fast i am it's 80-90% a hit.
Realy sick of the latency problems , i have a 120gig cable connection wich is about the fastest available around here , so this is rediculous.
So latency makes the game UNPLAYABLE <<-- notice SE , how the f am i supose to do endgame content like this or tank any boss at all in the future , i could change to healer.. but then i still have the same latency problems.

Just to clarify this is happening to me regardless of whether I'm in a duty or not. All AOE attacks, (cones, circles and rectangles) are giving me the same issues, regardless of whether I'm in a duty or just on the regular server.
But hey, I don't have to worry about it for the time being because "Error 1017"! :cool:

I've been stuck on Titan for several days now, the game doesn't really lag EXCEPT for AOE zones. Doesn't matter how far I run away, I still end up getting hit.
If I'm having that big of a problem with AOEs right now, I really don't think there's anyway for me to feasibly do harder content.

Can we please have the EU Server's moved to EU for better latency? And not like it is now where they are at Canadian city of Montreal, same place as where the NA servers are
The latency do have a impact on the gameplay, it can take up to 3 sec to cancel a spell, or ween the Mob/Boss make the red mark on the ground you will some times still get hit by the attack even if you make it out in time. And there is some minor latency problems like ppl lag ween they pass by you, and you need to hit a Mob/Boss to times before it Counts. And ween Pvp comes NA Players will have an advantage over EU players. (PLEASE MOVE THE EU SERVERS TO EU)

In australia here, im getting the same even on normal mobs, while i dont die its frustrating to be almost 90 deg angle away from the aoe marker and still be hit. I havent had much time to actually play but i am dredding the forced unstance group battles in the story quest because of this. SE are really not likely to see another dime from me.

I'm in Canada and the same issue affects me. I don't think it's just lag.
