Tanks are boring and their combat system sucks. People have been complaining about tanks since p3. This thread is nothing new and SE does not want to listen to us.
yeah we need more tanks until we all hit 50 and we just need 2 of u for a full raid :D ,then what?
I don't know, I find some people just don't quite get how to party in a dungeon. I was in this one duty-found group that started off just blindly trudging forward not even waiting for the tank. After someone ultimately died (Sastasha, we hadn't even hit the clams yet and it was the healer, go figure) I, the lancer, called for everyone to slow down. Run went swimmingly after that cause the tank was finally able to start the fights instead of join then in progress. Still, as for tanking I was doing as much as the tank themself as I was chasing down and aggroing the mobs the archer and conjurer kept drawing in. I miss the crucible of Valkurm...
I personally think that tanking is fun. I guess it's just not for everyone. I mean, the satisfaction from dealing high damage numbers as a DD is pretty tempting. Additionally, both tanks and healers hold many lives in their hands, so I can understand if there's some imbalance in the number of players interested in those roles.
With that being said, I hope more people start drifting towards tanks and healers after they're finished playing their DD classes in the future. Both roles are pretty irritating at times depending on their parties, but I've always felt that the challenge and responsibility is invigorating.
Tank here. From Excalibur hit me up starting 7-9 pm est!!!
There aren't enough tanks because we can't login.
I have a 21 CNJ and a 21 MRD, and it's still faster to queue as a healer. I'm confused about all the "lack of tanks" commotion. Healers seem rarer to me. Is it that DPS players assume from Yoshi's statement that not enough people play a tank is why the duty finder takes so long for DPS to get in?
