Yes, yes it is the worst launch ever. The game launched in 2011, the whole thing had to be redone. That's pretty bad.
I dont dislike the game at all though. Its my favorite game, and best experience ive found in a game.

Even newer MMOs have had beta/prelaunch/launch issues. I remember The Secret World was completely unplayable for me during beta and that game's only been out 1 year. Then SW:TOR I remember having a hell of a time logging in for more than 10 minutes IF I managed to log in.

These are still very substantial issues, and while the game is perfectly playable at some times, it's mostly during off-peak hours when not as many people are logged in (and the servers are still VERY lively during that time!)
