And I can confirm this is correct. MRD lvl 15 and LNC lvl 30 are the reqs that lock out the quest after you clear the lvl 30 LNC quest.

does it need to be marauder or pugilist secondary class for dragoon. there are lots of sources and there doesnt seem to be a definitive answer. has anyone actually unlocked dargoon for definite and can they confirm what the secondary class is?

Awsome! I've been looking for this thread for some time now. Just to be sure though I myself will just level both PUG and MRD to 15 at least. No harm no foul right :P

It's level 15 MAR to unlock the class. I can confirm this directly.

I recommend leveling PUG anyway for the amazing Internal Release skill. I've had that skill as a core subclass skill on my bar since forever, just too good to pass up

Friend of mine in the free company confirms that the following is necessary for dragoon:

1. Level 30 Lancer
2. Level 15 Marauder
3. Completed all lancer class quests up to level 30

If that doesn't work, then shoot me.

I also confirmed that you need MRD lvl 15 in order to advance to dragoon. Had to level up my MRD last night.

Confirmed, hit Dragoon early yesterday. Lancer 30, Marauder 15.

ok, this is going to sound stupid, but i am a fresh FFXIV player and had some questions.

right now im a lvl 20 lancer and currently working on leveling up marauder.

once i hit dragoon, do i start over at level 1? if not, how does it work?

should i level lancer to 50 or just hit lancer 30/marauder 15 and level dragoon from that point on?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

tested: can't take dragoon with 30LNC and 20PUG. I have to lvl up MRD quickly..
