It took me a while this morning trying to get my own code to work, finally switched over from Firefox to IE and while there were some minor hiccups, once I was able to enter the code it went through the first time.
Now I'm trying to help a friend out and I can't even get past the log in screen on IE. I guess it's because of all the congestion, but it won't even move onto the code input screen. I can get past the log in screen using Firefox, however now all I get with FF is Error 1, saying that there's a problem with the code... even though all the boxes have check marks next to them confirming the code is correct. I give up. And it's not the language thing either, as the friend I am trying to help was trying to get the code to work for a while now, using the language fix, and IE but all he was getting was nothing but Error 3's.

I've tried:
- Entering the code in Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome
- Clearing the cache/history
- Using "Private Browsing" to ensure everything was fresh
- The "language setting" fix to ensure it was set to English (US)
- Making sure the code is correct
And still getting this Error 3 message and have been for the past 2 hours. I'm guessing at this point it's a "the site is getting slammed" issue and won't clear up until the site load drops.

I have been at it for 4 hours and I have not gotten thru.. i suppose I will try until EA starts

now the website all together isn't working. Still getting that error 3 code. I think either 1 the site just crashed or 2 they are finally fixing the issue
Error!
We've reported it to the team.
Try again?

I too am suffering from Error 3 and have been for the last few hours after being on the edge about getting involved in another subscription based MMO. I have tried both Chrome and IE as well as multiple computers.
Normally, I am a reasonable person who feels the need to point out that this is the release of an highly anticipated game and we should all chillax and wait until they fix the issue. However, I find that I am on the other side this time. I do not have much time to play and I was eager to get a bit of a head start on a character and just level him up slowly but surely. While I know this doesn't exactly change anything I did kind of put this weekend aside to get a character to 15 or 20. So, the fact I just paid for this and am un-able to use the code to jump into the game is quite aggravating and to be honest I expected more from Square-Enix as I know this isn't their first MMO and they must know the requirements on pre-launch and launch days.
Hopefully this gets solved and I can play a bit tomorrow. Good night and good luck everyone.

Trying to put an EA code in again for my cousin with the error 3 showing up for about 3 hours now. I have already successfully got mine in previously 2 days ago; so I know the ordeals you once had to go threw. This time around, it seems like the "preferred language" setting is indeed resetting itself to a blank no matter how much you try. Along with obvious heavy traffic just trying to attempt to input the code itself. Knowing SE, I don't think this issue will be resolved within the first day of EA.

I've tried 4 different computers with 3 different browsers on each. I've used ctrl F5 each time and I've made sure to go into settings to change the language. I've been trying for about 3 hours now with no luck. 2 hours to launch....
