Hello all, New player, new to server, just wanted to say love it here on Siren. The community is helpful and the majority of the players seem friendly. Looking forward to running with some of you down the road.
Is it better to join an existing free company or start one? I usually run with 5 other R/L friends? Thoughts please....
Depends if you guys want to deal with getting a 25 to make the FC, leveling it yourselves, or join one that already exists. I know me and my friends will be making one ourselves when they can finally get on the server.
Really comes down to, do you wana join a FC with 30+ people in it already or make your own that will only have 6.
Hi Everyone, I'm Lycia Dealkirk here! Somewhat new to FF, played 11 for a bit...hated the leveling system (didn't realize I needed to party up lol) Played WoW til the end of WoTLK, and haven't been MMOing for a while. I'm a quasi pro raider (I study fights, know my class, bring materials, don't die and do good DPS) who hopes to be a helpful member of our community. If you need a Rezz, Pst me if I'm on! If you need to run something, and your around my level or lower...hit me up! I hope to get to meet you all personally in game, and have some fun!
Also, I'm wondering from a party stand point if some of us should create some how to videos for new MMO players to teach them how to raid. Would help make battles easier :)
From what i understand there are already a ton of how to videos around already. The game itself seems pretty simple, much simpler then wow was. Though i rather enjoyed Ifrit (simple mechanics though). I am excited to see end game fights and there Mechanics.
I've heard that later dungeons and end game content is much more difficult. This is my first time in an FF world (played other MMOs for years) but this is what older players have been telling me. I've thoroughly enjoyed my play time so far, but I am looking forward to more of a challenge. Can anyone here give an idea of whether this seems true (that the challenge comes later)?
Anyway - I'm excited to be playing on Siren! We wanted to start on a brand new server and watch it grow with the game, should be fun! So far (prior to the 1017 boss kicking my arse) it has been enjoyable, aside from the gold spammers.

I noticed that their seems to be more misinformation about this game, than general helpful information. On top of that, there isn't a centralized source for people to go to, in order to find out how to truly play their Toon. I've ran instances with other Arcanist, who while the same level as me...didn't use dots. Never tossed Bio up or nothing...I had one guy who had the Topaz Carbie out during a one on one boss fight. General MMO tips will help our server grow and become a blast. I'd love for our server to be so pro, everyone doesn't mind a pug here or there.
As for the Challenge, I'm not able to testify on the level of experience, but one of my FC mates actually fought Titan the other day while I was over at their house, and it was like a harder version of Ifrit... I'm wondering myself if we'll see more fights that involve timing and movement. I guess we gotta get to 50 and find out huh Jezzic?

Level 30+ dungeons start to become interesting. Unless you're a healer, then you're raging (tanks who don't get out of the dragon's breathe (rage) or the god-awful Temple Bee's final sting move. Tanks, full health, annnnddddd... dead (@!#$# /spittle).
Maybe its because I pug, but lately my teams have been bomb. Downed Titan with vicious lag (server side because my whole team was getting hit), and one shot the whole Goblin instance. Kinda enjoying the fights :)
