I miss the old days in XI, I've been gone from there for like 3 years-ish now but while I was there the giraffe and taru-food jokes were wondrous and plentiful.

It seems that people there are slowly losing their sense of humor, I've had a few friends who still play XI comment on that and it's sad; the community used to be pretty good (Even on evil-asura XD), but there was always someone who'd want to piss on your parade for the hell of it. D:

The dhalmel/giraffe jokes were FFXI humor that were brought about because of the disproportionate bodies of the Elvaan; buuuut you knew this already didn't you?

Wait a second... the Elvaan = Hume + Dhalmel thing was a joke from XI! Lady likely encountered newer players who haven't learned the old jokes.

any players in the last 2 years don't know the old jokes...I played/play FFXI on and off ever since it started...back when it came out everyone was punting tarus or pulling mithras tails or getting bear hugged by Galkas...sigh happens no more...makes me a sad fruppy ;.;

Well, around here I think we get are fair share of all of that. Lol. I never played XI and I've always gotten the jokes.

I'm sorry but FFXI with no taru eating is no game I want to be a part of.

And fried taru, in batter with chips is best.
