Well, Thanny was the one who said it, so I kinda trust him (nothing to do with my infatuation I swear, his credibility is legit). For him to say it must mean he saw them attempting..but its true, we don't actually SEE them attempting, so there's that small chance that they weren't trying..or weren't trying hard enough.

Well the Danger for alla eorzea is already passed?

If we live in 1572 and the flashback was fifteen years... well exactly in that time will be happened a lot of stuff!

1. The Empire conquer Ala Mhigo (but the danger isn't the empire)
2. In these Years, there was the Primal awakening, in fact first summon of Ifrit..
3. oh yes.. don't forget the battle of Silverlake Tear!

(other things are added after so i don't think can be)

So i always more convinced that the danger was the Primals Awakening... But now with the Dalamud story... will be the same?

We're supposed to act as if that calamity seen in the Echo was the falling of Dalamud. Whatever original story 1.0 had was scrapped in favor of Dalamud falling. Who knows if we'll ever know what was really supposed to happen, but what we do know is that the Archons were repurposed for the new Dalamud storyline, and while we'll have quests that will explain what happened with Nielle etc, I don't think we'll really know for sure what the original Calamity was supposed to be.

Yoshi P said in an interview that Dalamud was altered to fit with the changes IRL, but that this would not impact the original lore. The addition of Nael Van Darnus is probably one of the alterations, considering that he is not (as far as I know) part of the 2.0 story. The tomb of Xandes (now known as the Crystal Tower) on the other hanad may have been part of the original story since they both have their roots in places that were available to explore at the original launch.

Right, the "essence" remains, but he did say in one of the interviews that the original storyline was scrapped (believe it's one of the ones Rein translated around Nov-Dec).

I believe Darnus was already there, but he wasn't supposed to play a major part in the original story, but got repurposed to fit the Dalamud stuff. Only one way to find out though...I shall return >_>;; lol

The original story may have been drastically altered, but not the lore.

There's not a big difference there. They would have to adjust for the occurrances in the Seventh Umbral Era, but in the cinematic released, the Crystal Tower is there likely with Xandes inside. It may be that Xandes is ressurrected and that they accomplished what they were trying to do via the ressurection spells or other means. Other characters may be present. It's rumored that the Cloud of Darkness (or a lookalike antitypical version) maybe present as well... which I can imagine may be how Ascians are tied in????

Yeah... Considering that Ala Mhigo lies within Garlean Territory and is the seat of Rhalgar, whose Symbol is a Meteor, bringing down a meteor with Allagan magic could have been part of the 1.0 story, only Bahamut wouldn't have been in it. And Ascians would be running around lookin' evil.

It's sad that we have to sit around and guess. :( 2.0 should released with as much lore stuffed in as possible so that we don't set around like a bunch of lorestarved sad pandas.
