depends on the i7 you buy, like people have mentioned, with your budget you could build a desktop that would crush anything that is out now that plays on pc

Just as an FYI, most people go with the i5s for a few reasons. Cheaper obviously, but the other is that typically an i5 and i7 of the same clock speed will perform almost the same in games.

Sager Notebook computers are the best bang for the buck in my opinion when it comes to gaming laptops. They start out decently powerful at ~$1600 to the ridiculously powerful ones at $5k+.
