It's not bullying if the original creator is the one who instigates said bullying. Bastok considers himself above all of us, including yourself. But you know, several people have that sort of attitude, which is fine.

But when you post your work online, you don't just do it for "OMG ITS SO GOOD!!!!" You have to HAVE to expect some sort of feedback, whether good or bad. That is how you develop and refine your skill, by accepting that feedback and building upon it. You know..kinda like how Yoshi p and the devs build ARR based on our feedback. Somethings will not change, of course, but some things WILL.

Bastok, on the other hand, is stuck on his solitary island, and any sort of feedback, even with good intentions, is met with a condescending remark along the lines of "you cannot reach my level of intellect, your feedback is worthless and dumb". He considers himself already a "Picasso", and while there ARE artists like that out there, they usually don't feel like they have to constantly defend their work, which Bastok does. Interesting hypocritical situation, is it not?

It's not very apparent in this thread, but it's a lot more clear in his previous thread with his previous video (which I refuse to bump because its just so mindnumbingly WTF)

So no, the one being the bully here is OP, not us :p

And the "ivory tower" isn't bullying (if you actually knew what it meant, it's a suggestion he actually ACCEPT feedback than continue to operate in his solitary confinement). His response to my suggestion was condescending as expected, and very well assumed a gender I am not.

I'm sorry you are misguided and want to defend him, but really, you do nothing but inflate the ego that's already way above even his head. Curiously, you have left out HIS bullying remarks, which makes me think you know him somehow.

Chill out Lady we are not really being mean. I see these as mild friendly jokes. Being mean would go way beyond what you have seen here. None of us has been mean to the point you are making it out to be. If you look at his responses you will see he is the one being mean really; the only reason why most people that have gotten such response haven't responded in a worse manner is because his insults are comedy and we don't take them seriously. Maybe he should have tougher skin.

You need to have a certain level of tough skin when you create work for public display. That was the point I was getting across: he doesn't seem to have it, and either hides behind his "high level of intellect", or genuinely can't take any kind of negative criticism.

Personally, I PREFER it when people tell me my work sucks, so that I can make an effort do better. If I'm only looking for false praise, I'd have no business posting stuff online, and instead would show it to family.
