1.0 Buddy pass works for ARR?

Will the current 1.0 account holders receive new buddy passes that can be used when ARR goes live even if they used the old ones?

Here's a thing, for some reason when I bought my 1.0 copy it didn't have a buddy pass in it. :P

Good luck with that, SE bought back all their old copies of FFXIV from retailers to destroy them months ago. I doubt you'll have much luck finding them outside of places like Ebay or Amazon, but those copies are likely useless for the most part unless your feeling lucky to find an unopened copy.

I would say most advertised as "new" on ebay are really reseals.

I bought my copy of the CE recently on amazon. I'm pretty sure it's new since I was able to register the security token; once a security token is registered it cannot be used on anyone else's account. If you deregister your security token then it becomes useless. Plus it had the full wrapping, new game smell and the back paper covering the ff14 symbol. But yeah be careful where you buy your copies of CE or the buddy pass since you won't be able to check if it works till code registration become available again, which will be in a few weeks. Luckily with amazon you can see the rating of your buyer and see what other people's experience was.

That is very unlikely simply because it will waste the company money. Before it was more reasonable because this was only for the collectors edition.Their stand right now is the best. If you bought the collector's edition and you used the buddy pass now you and your buddy can upgrade to 2.0; if you didn't use your buddy pass then you still have time to. The only way I see them giving more buddy passes is if they plan to give it away for the new collectors edition. In which case we CE users will be able to upgrade.

I don't remember if you got a buddy pass with the normal version or if it was collectors only. I bought 2 collectors way back but gave away my buddy passes.

Pretty sure it was CE only.

You only get buddy passes with collectors edition

I doubt it? You should have got one if you bought first day 1.0 editions or if you bought it online via SE. I don't think we'll get the old items for the rerelease, well I hope not.
