Beta Starts on Feb 1st, or 1st week in Feb??

I'm just going to assume Beta still isn't going live until at least the middle of Feb, and if it happens before then it'll be a pleasant surprise.

You guys are a bit too hopeful. The beta will probably come to place the second or third week of february. It could take a lot of time setting up a new forum.

I wouldn't look too much into that. Mid Feb seems like what they're aiming for. Could start sooner, could start later so I'm just TRYING to be patient lol

Beta starts mid feb, which means early March.

i know, but i only meant the part about stating you're in alpha.
And by saying you'd be breaking NDA; you already confirmed you're in alpha, which means you broke the NDA ^^
But it's just a minor offense, that at most will delete your post.

Ah but i never said what NDA I'm under. ;) FFXIV isn't the only alpha/beta test going on around the world.

OK so we know Beta is going to be an open invite to all Alpha Testers and all Legacy people and probably everyone who signed up.... so I don't expect secret invites the way there was with Alpha. I expect they will make a big announcement on Lodestone that Beta Test Forum is now open. Then we go to the forum, register, and download Beta. No secrecy. I expect lots of publicity.

The forum should go up around February 4 PST. The Beta Test should start Feb 15.

These dates are based on hints the devs have made over the last two months. I do not remember where they quotes are so don't ask. Last time someone asked me to prove it I wasted a full day reading old posts and never found the quote I was looking for.

They used mid February 中旬 Chyujun which means mid 10 days of the month so I'm guessing 2/11-2/20 but knowing SE... they are about +1-2 weeks so could even get to 2/18-2/25.

Remember though Terak: Alpha was supposed to have started in September and Beta was supposed to have started in November.

So the date is still open to get pushed back.
