Im getting samething but its for FFXI.
I think our FFXIV accounts are in safe, just don't bother with those spams or would better off creating a new email only for that game.
I recieved the exact same batch of emails all at once the other day. That it self says it is fake, also the sender was not SE or any of their legit email addresses and finally not one of them actually addressed me by my handle or name.
Just bump them all into your blocked junk and then delete them.
I created a separate email address for some of my games a while back when my WoW account got hacked. I don't share that email address with anyone. I did that because WoW started using email addresses to login to the game. Now that Square Enix is following the same route, I may do the same for it. That's the reason we all got email spammed. you can now login to your Square Enix account with your email instead of your username.
I get an email claiming my WoW or Diablo III account has been compromised/suspended/etc every once in a while. Too bad for them I've never had an account for either. There is no try.
Ugh, I hate these, Now I'm getting them for this game too?! I think SE should change that login back to its original form. Though its already too late for our own emails, it can prevent the spam of new people who sign up after launch.
This is just link text, the link actually goes somewhere else.

SE doesn't get hacked some fansite/website that you use your same email address does.
Can be anything you signed up for at anytime.
Once they have your email they just spoof a real site and spam you no stop saying your account is hacked/suspended/*whatevergetsyourattention* saying you need to verify you are you
If you respond then they get you because now they have your login/pass
Very common spam/spoof attempt to hack into your account.
What you can do to protect yourself is have unique emails you only use for your games, and don't use them for anything else. Never respond to any email asking for your username/password.
