Yep, it's the name given to the initial 1,000 beta testers for the SAO game... thus, when the game got released with the first 10,000 players, the beta testers were considered as "Beaters" (coined from the word Beta Tester and Cheater)

Ahhh yes... I purposely used the Japanese name used in the light novels (Ketsumei Kishidan) which literally translates it to have the Oath at the end. Usually, they just refer to them as the K.O.B in the anime.

It may sound a bit pretentious, but I think, and maybe SE does too, that Legacy members would be able to give more detailed/critical advice and feedback due to the general (but not absolute) fact that they are more experienced when it comes to the game than, lets say...Joe Schmo #8186 that spent little or no time with 1.0 and just wants to play ARR early.

I don't think us Legacy members are entitled to things like this, but at the same time, non-Legacy members probably know less about the game due to less time spent with it during a relevant time in it's life (2012).

Pretty much this and also it's a nice gift to legacy can't forget it's to make us happy. I think Legacy have a lot to give in testing beta but also none ffxiv players because SE need to bring in more players so beta1 = legacy and some non legacy beta 2 they bring more none legacy and none ffxiv players and so on with feedback from everyone i'm sure ffxiv become a great game.

I really hope it doesn't turn into people complaining how everything isn't like 1.0/FFXI vs people who like modern mmo mechanics. It seems like what the OF turned into.
