Hoods?

I will need to go find it, but I recall Yoshi recently saying Visors will go up and down but Hoods will remain static.
I only remember the sad that I felt.

It was from the live letter VI. So he specifically only said WHM (still sad) ...for others maybe

Q23: During the previous Producer Letter Live, you showed us artwork for the upcoming PvP gear and some of the artwork had the open face. Will we be able lift the visor for the warrior artifact helmet or put on the hood up for the white mage artifact armor?

A23: You will be able to lift the visor for the warrior helmet, but unfortunately, you won’t be able to put on the hood for the white mage armor.

Agree :( i unlock full whm just so i can do that one day. I think there reason was due to head gear. If the hood goes up then you can't wear one and w/e. But i mean they could just allow us to put it up without taking off the headgear.

I can see it happening at some point. Hood goes up, and the hat is no longer displayed. Hood goes back down, and the hat is displayed. Maybe they can get it so things like the White Mage circlet still show up. It's sort of like how Sarouel are poofy until you put on thigh-high boots.

Visors yes, hoods no.

The design of the whm body model prevents it from being pulled over. Visors are much simpler to animate as well.

I read that the WAR helmet face mask could go up and down but the WHM COULD NOT have their hood up. Not sure if that goes for all hooded garments or just WHM AF, but it'd be cool to see some hoods show up for BRD/ARC.

And since Arcanist is coming in 2.0, what do we use to abbreviate the name? ARC is already taken xD

Sadly... the reasoning behind it makes it pretty likely that this refers to all hoods. Seems like it'd actually be more work to go the other way with cloaks that take up the head slot as well :(. If you can put the hood down that means it shouldn't take up the headslot and that means reworking the restrictions on the item and then of course rebalancing the stats so it isn't overpowered (since an item like that normally has stats equal to an equivalent body AND head piece together).
