most JP boards are barebones text, and they tend to post anonymously, so for them, having sigs isn't really a commonplace practice.
Aside from JP boards being text-only, we (NA players) do have our way of displaying our love for the game. Even when it involves messages of truth like my signature. *nod*
I think it just isn't a cultural norm to have a signature when posting on a forum in Japanese. And the feeling of wanting to show who you are, or stand out is just not present so much in Japan.
On the rare occasion when I post on the Japanese side, I usually turn my signature off.
I think what you meant to say was,
I'm quite certain that there was a quaint little table with some tea and crumpets just outside the crop of that particular shot.Quote:
"The Grand Company leaders standing on a hill, looking pretty whilst entertained by their underlings being slaughtered mercilessly."
many post from phone (and some are not on smartphones)
so signature just take some data for nothing
Clearly my signature is the best.
I wonder if the Japanese will make an 'everybody has signatures in the English forums' thread.. that would be hilarious to read.
If I could make a cool sig I wouldn't have one this lame =(
Edit: No longer lame =P at least I don't think so
Westerners like to stand out and Japanese like to go with the pack
