Petition To Add Behest Rank Restrictions

I vote for a level sync then I liked it in ffxi. It made getting groups easier some times quicker, and I didn't have to play catch up with my friends.

Like I said i think ppl join behest to do them, not really to purposely leech. the game don't have very many activities yet. so atm ppl will do behest for sake of something to do. I think it might change when they start adding more activities.

And I know behest not getting scrapped. Just you got bored ppl joining them no matter the lvl.

There's behest to do at every level range, so people that join behest at the wrong level range can easily be identified as griefers.

one of the bigger issues is no one is teaching anyone about anything. Like party search. Which is why not many ppl party outside of LS's.

yes, almost all camps do have behests including most of the indivicual nodes. some do not, but they are not low level areas at all. i'll use camp riversmeet for example does not but it's all lvl 50-75 mobs.

yes, they will be better, but even when the game had alot of members they still did the same thing

not exactly true. i see some pure rude people sure, but the majority of the people i have met are pretty decent and will always give advice.

the reason people get upset about people way too low or too high is that they hurt the sp gained not just for that person, but everyone in the party. se has it set to where if the group is outside of a 5 lvl range they all take a sp hit on each kill. it's not as much for the middle people, but it is there.

sorry don't mean it if i come across as rude or elitest, but wanted to give the reasons why people do not like the leeches. the problem is the camp for the lower range actually gets passed by to get to the higher camps. those people pass by to go do it on purpose.

I'd almost add auto-party the behest as well but every now and then I see future RMT trying to sign up. (Either that or they are ignorant to everyone's requests to stop attacking unclaimed mobs and we're not talking about just Horizon.)

Level sync would be awesome in this game, I wonder if the team considered adding it. There's no under-leveled combat or magic skill problem either compared to FFXI

well, only way to 'grief' behest, is when lvl 50 person signs up , refuses party, and kills all mobs alone., howevcer, you can report such behavior, and get the asshat baned <_<. However level sync is a good idea i really liked it in games it was included, especially right after i joined, i allowed me to play with the guild, nbo matr if those were my low level quest, or their high level ones.

Excelent example was City of Heroes, with Sidekick/exemplar system. Sidekick, allowed low level person to get temporary boost to level of the mentor, however he could use only skills from his real level, and got exp, as he would be killing monsters of his own level. Exemplar worked other way, allowing high level player to lower himself to someones level, he is not gaining exp, just paing debt ( death penalty ) or its converted to influence (ingame cash)

Level sync is the only way to solve this issue IMO, also it would solve the problem between ranks during leve-linking, right now if you fall 5 levels behind your friends then you can't party effectively with them anymore which really sucks.

As for leeches they aren't such a bad thing, the bigger the party the more monsters spawn so you actually gain in that respect.

Some good points I didnt think about, but that's also why I'm not the developer. I wanted to see what everyone else, and SE can input their own way of doing things to solve the issue. Level sync would be nice, for the fact like another poster said if you goto one camp and its empty you have to go to a lower leveled camp. But if they do level sync like it was in FFXI then it will just lower those who are below the people in the sync. Considering we have rank ~10's and ~20's joining the behest, level sync of that type wouldnt really solve the issue. :/

...Still confused how wanting other people who can contribute to behest to be able to join and better SP for all makes me an elitist. O.o;

i tink his point is that low leves 'steal' spot he belive is rightfull his. so first lowbioes, than anyone else.

That's also a pretty common response to people not letting someone into a group for no reason. It goes both ways, just sayin'.

On-topic though, I'm all for rank requirements/caps on behests. If it's an R20 camp you've got no business there as an R10 or R30. I'm honestly pretty okay with +/-5 from the camp rank.

Also can we squash this "If you're all R50 when monsters spawn (at any camp) better monsters spawn" rumor? It's pretty ridiculous and I've certainly never seen any conclusive evidence that it helps.
