There are a lot of epic monster's, which could be added. I am all about really HUGE Stuff, which brings large-scale events to a whole different level:

Hell.. i could even think of a Whalemob ( i.e. Sin ), which floats through the Sea and you go on a Boattrip with a full Alliance trying to find it, then finding it.. its vanish's and you have to find it again etc etc. Posibilities are somewhat unlimited.

So nice people haven't been mentioning main antagonists everything I can think of has been mentioned, 4 elemental archfiends, tonberry (with special hate that determines everyone's grudge damage) Gilgamesh, Bahamut, Ixion, behemoth/king behemoth, dinosaurs and huge mobs really huge mobs.
