Dear veteran FFXI players

Hello Altaeiu, and Wutai :)

I'm Razortaru from Ramuh server. I was in the HNMLS Silentwinds. My fondest memories was finishing the CoP storyline, getting peacock charm on my first try in the BCNM where i trio'd it with my Brother/Sister in laws (Rednemesis, and Bluenova) In which they didn't explain to me that we would sell what ever we got and split... since they didn't tell me i kept it and said too bad should of told me that before we started :P... don't think they ever quite forgave me but i guess that is family :D HUEHUE

I also got married to my ingame girlfriend IRL ... i knew her before FFXI but was only friends during that time... I had so much fun in FFXI. By far my favorite game ever. I Loved killing all the dragons mainly .... each one had cool drops and looked so awesome.

Anyways i could go on for a few days about what i loved but my name is Dokuton Taijutsu ingame so if you have any LS that anyone is free to join pass it my way i'm always looking to meet new friends.

I also have around 4-6 people that i actually hang out with IRL from Norway that i met in Silentwinds...

@ Scarface, I disagree with your instanced/HNM assessment. Instanced doesn't mean gear drop rate from the bosses or however you get it has to be on par WoW style instances. Hell FFXI had the Nyzul Isle thingy that was pretty much an instance, you go through 5 levels kills lots of mob and at the end fight a boss for a pretty small chance to get an item.

How would there be any fun if everything was instanced? You couldn't see when people wipe! :P

And yeah nyzul was a joke. All instances were a joke except salvage because it took people a year to figure out how to do it right and was actually hard.

Nothing on FFXI was hard, people from FFXI definition of hard was = to being time consuming and Klaus stop beating a rotting been dead for a while now horse. =p

I was on Caitsith server over 5 years ago, played for 2 and a half years. My characters name was Viviowner. I doubt anyone I know would be playing FFXIV, but if you are, send me a /tell IG. :D

Doesn't make my point any less true. I played FFXI for nearly 5 years. I can't truly think of anything that was considered hard in that game. Sure there was some challenging fights but for the most of them the most challenging thing was to stay alive for the hour + it took to kill the monster. That just doesn't qualify as being hard to me. Different strokes for different folks I guess. AV was declared by SE as an impossible creature, not literally but to be a difficult challenge for the most hardcore of the players. Good content.

Actually I met a buddy I knew from FFXI from Remora on Wutai, ran into him one day and because of his name I knew it could only be him. Cornyboob

Pandemonium Warden? Salvage? Salvage was never easy because as I said it took people a year to even figure it out and it had to be made easier before people even did it.

lol FFXI was not easy ever hear of odin? just getting to it was a feat in itself which took 30 people to even get to fight odin
