Now that's not true. You can be sexist and allow women to enter, all to maintain the illusion of propriety. Just with the intention of never allowing them to win. It's not overt sexism.

Well you guys say it was sexist. Then i would like to see one that should have won, one that was made by a woman of course.

I mean if I said "all shrill voiced women" it would certainly be sexist

Its a competition, everyone should have had equal opportunity to win. If you look at the winners, and nothing against them, but most of them have deep male voices and one who sounds a little rustic at the end. It seemed very unfair. I didn't enter and just hearing the contest winners was a bit disappointing, not that they weren't good- Just that they were all the same.

Calling them "all the same" is sexist too, and insulting

I did notice that all of them were deep-voiced males...which IS best suited to the video. But it does also make it feel that as a female (with a rather high voice at that), I would never have stood a chance, regardless of how well I did.

That's kinda what I'm getting at Variety, I wasn't saying it was sexist either I said that it seems a bit sexist. Nor did I say I held that against the winners in fact I applaud them for winning but where was the variety of it? A woman can do an action voice over just as well as any man. I know when I posted I was going more along the lines of Galadriel from her opening of The fellowship of the ring until the end. Again like I said congrats to the winners but they're all deep voiced.

I don't do SE contests anymore because they are not very open/detailed about how they select the winners. Sorry but "Determined by our team" is not good enough for me to go out of my way to participate. The entries were amazing also btw. I especially loooove the old man one!!!

As a professional actress I was going to enter but yeah..until they go into detail how winners are selected....nup.
