O shit, not this discussion here too. Look, we all want a better response in battle, no ? We don't want our legs cemented at the ground after a skill, no ? Well, this is the price to pay.

Also the fact it is being built on the Luminous Engine... I mean seriously have you guys looked up luminous engine info, that is one impressive beast... I am sure it will handle and conform to all of your concerns.
The translation of the regional server part is kinda ambigious imho. He didn't say there will be regional servers, more like multiple datacenters. I dont see how they want to fit current servers into that scenario, so maybe it will be more like channels in GW1. Else it would mean all the current players will either be stuck on jp datacenter or they will separate the whole community based on region. Neither is the optimal solution
It's an Awesome session !! That was a 1-hour long quality time I spent :D
I think it's more like for certain encounters and stuff that needs low latency you connect to a datacenter near your area to retrieve the info (ie: timing on ifrit cracks), but your server and character are still somewhere else, so this way they get rid of the latency problems and can keep the community as is.
Mocchi: Summ... Yoshi-P- HAI!!!! LOL I cracked up laughing XD
This would be perfect, but it's not what the translations said at all, which is why they have to clarify this, imho.
I must say, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the event, especially the devs slipping into informal speech, it really felt like they were closer to the audience than devs normally are.
LOL knee high socks
