They said that there are no plans to do that in the beginning but they are planing on looking into making that happen. this is not the full translation of the JP dev response. Most of the dev posts are not because the dev who posted on the NA forums decided to let us know, its simply a translation that the JP dev posted a response. this one however did not show the entire response that the JP dev made.

Will there be an NPC that mows the grass? There better be, or my immersion is RUINED!

I wonder if they are going to go for the whole 'Shenume' effect, and have fully daily routines for their NPCs (wake up, get out of house, walk to work, open shop, do work, close shop, walk home, turn off lights, go to sleep, etc.)

They should make it as lively as THE LAST REMNANT when you talking about NPCs...that game really showed a lot of character...
