The same patch that reduced the mount tilt also added toggles for movement tilt, though it is a binary on/off, under Character Configuration>Control Settings>Character.

It does work this way. Mount tilt varies from Alte Roite (no tilt at all), to airships (minimal tilt), to upright animals like antelope doe (some tilt), to lanners and Rathalos (maximum tilt). Though even max tilt mounts can be turned slowly so they show very little tilt, so it feels natural.
Aha, cool. I didn't know that. I've seen enough people complain about the lack of mount tilt that I thought they were actually unable to produce it with how they moved their characters.
They really change the arena to another dull looking one? It was one the best looking arenas in the game.
In my initial experience, it very much didn't, hence why I was glad it was reduced and double glad I could disable it. Looked ridiculous on mounts like balloons or bomb palanquin, and double ridiculous on ones like fat cat when it half-sunk into the ground whenever I turned.
As somebody who were affected by said motion sickness, I personally think they don't need to go for a 100% opaque flooring. In addition to that, a toggle would be nice i.e. "Dynamic Environment Setting Turn On/Off". Could be a good excuse for people with low-end hardwares too.
Once again it just demonstrates their inability to go for just the right measure. They only know either small trickle steps or gargantuan steps.
I have no idea how it used to work on these mounts! I'm talking about how it works now, which is exactly how the poster I was replying to wants them to! The initial ground tilt was much too far on a lot of them, I completely agree. Poor chocobro was snapping his ankles and dumping me off the side. I much, much prefer it now where the tilt is minor on gentle turns and sharper on sharp turns, especially in flight. Rathalos, the lanners, and all the wings feel so good to fly around on now. I can understand people wanting a sharper turn on the motorcycles on the ground though.
It seems SE forgot that Accessibility options go both ways.
BRING. IT. BACK
Is the new floor causing you issues with a disability or illness such that it causes you health problems to play with it? If not, it is perfectly accessible to you. It would be nice if they had made it optional, but they didn't, so there's nothing optional about it that SE needs to remember. It just is.
I just wish they also paid attention to other issues. Still cant do certain fights due to epilepsy..
(Looking right at you burden ex)
Once again, they're limiting themselves (visually).
The adjusted stage not only looks significantly less impressive, but it also has an effect on future content = playing it safe again / less surprises.
It's good that they care… but this is simply the wrong approach.
It's like removing all spider enemies from all games just because some people have arachnophobia. And then snakes. And then rats. And then …
They definitely should have added an on/off option here instead of making the experience less cool for everyone else.
