Arguably, they can justify those time and resources because of the money they get back from it. I notice they often flat out create brand new model and animations and everything for the mounts on there, whereas the ones in the game are just getting an existing model and either adding animations to it, or re-using an existing animation set ie. they get a random enemy in the game like a dhalmel and give it flying animations.
I'm just offering a different way to think of it, since people are always quick to just attack things instead of considering if maybe it is alright. People never like change, after all, even when that change is what was asked for. At this point in the game, they've come full circle doing what was asked by the community in many areas of the game.
Instead of two weeks of replayability, there will be one, and not the entire dungeon, but the easiest way to farm pieces. That's what they did. SE, as usual, is shooting themselves in the foot.
Yeah I have to agree. I ran three paths, looked up the reddit discussions on rewards and immediately decided not to continue.
As a casual player, the only reason I would repeat this 12 times would be for a unique reward I liked. Facewear version of an old cheap glam I never wore anyway is honestly hilariously bad. And sadly the glams are not something I would wear on my male character personally.
The only rewards that appeal to me are locked beihind hard versions I won't do. So like others said, I will just buy them eventually and skip the content. Sad. Oh well, hopefully enough people will run these that I can buy up a ton of furnishings for cheap in the first few weeks to use for later housing builds!
Except your way of thinking about it is clearly from the perspective of a high-end raider. "I'm getting stuff, so I don't know what they're getting upset about. It's clearly the best option available."
Our complaint is that a facewear version of a crafted head piece long since available in the game isn't reward enough for the effort of going through all 13 routes when it was in the past. Especially when there's been a drought of content for the more casual community to engage with this expansion. This reward isn't incentive enough for us to do it, and some of us are casual not because we lack the ability to do higher-end content, but because we don't have the time outside of work and our personal lives. I, personally, work the late shift at my job, so I'm usually working when all my friends are doing content like this (if they do it at all), and on the weekends I can't do it either because they're off doing things with their families until late and usually aren't interested. All I've been doing lately is just grinding tomestones and Relic stuff, hoping that there's something more engaging coming soon, and this clearly isn't it.
Again, you miss the point by focusing solely on the difficulty aspect. Advanced requires you to be in a pre-made group with at least one other person to even get into it, and for people who don't have anyone on who wants to do the content, usually due to time constraints caused by family and/or work, that's a major barrier in itself. The only option left is Group Finder, and most of the people in there are toxic AF so we typically avoid it.
Does the reward alone determine whether you enjoy a specific content or not and not the content itself? Why is content that is enjoyable for you suddenly becoming unenjoyable just because of a reward not being available? Would that also mean that any content where the rewards are not to your liking can't be enjoyable for you and rewards are the only factor to make content enjoyable? After all, the content remains the same regardless of rewards.
