even with the skips, people would rush through while the person would still be in the cutscene. they already butchered the speech, they took away choices you got to pick from. you know what you are signing up for when you pick MSQ. that's why you get the massive 1/2 a level for doing. before you you really didn't get that much in xp. it was piddly squat in comparison. Simply put don't do the MSQ if you can't handle doing other things during cutscenes.

If it were to be turned into a solo duty, knowing SE, the most likely scenario would be as you said they can then remove MSQ from the roulettes and...(fullstop), meaning everyone loses a roulette that we can choose to participate or not because some players dislike how the cutscenes cannot be skipped.

I enjoy doing housework while running Prae, some players might like to watch videos while doing so, and players whom dislike how the cutscenes cannot be skipped can go ahead and do other roulettes instead.
If you are really short on poetic, actually spam queuing ARR trials such as Ramuh and Shiva could be faster, as in fishing for first timer bonuses.
