So xenosys made a vid on this thread and showed why OP's having a hard time passing the dps check.

My hot take is that anyone who personally fails at weapons 15 times in a week should be locked out of Savage.
It's not even an Extreme Trial level of difficulty, they could very much put this in any dungeon. As for the rest, you basically have to remember the patterns for orbital (and admittedly, know how early the timing is), and manage your space in Arena Split, which obviously will cause people to lose DPS. Considering how easy the encounter is, the DPS loss is the only punishing part except for people who have a hard time checking their screen.
I genuinely consider M9S less easy.
I disagree.
This fight finally feels like a 3rd turn.
Xeno is right when he says "You shouldn't be able to play safe and still clear".
This fight does not need a nerf and after watching Xenosys Vex break down your over uptime, it's a not always casting issue. This fight was rough to clear in pf, but it's also fun and a great challenge. Practice your slide casting in all forms of content, roulettes, extremes, normal raids, pvp, ect. Put in the effort and you will clear.
I'm sorry but if there's anything to complain about here, it's about the game not forcing you to not drag the rest of your team down just because you don't want to improve yourself. I will not advocate using 3rd party tools to improve your performance, but instead look at resources people post and try to be the best version of yourself before you start advocating for content to be scaled down to fit your current level. Not all of content is meant for every player, if this is your limit then so be it.
Oh, it's you again.
Yeah, it must be really boring when you're not even trying to optimize your damage, and thus being the reason why your PFs are having difficulty making the DPS checks.
Well, people can't even position right for arena split with tethers on two fixed positions. I agree the fight has nothing challenging in terms of brainpower required, unless you're trying to maximize your damage .. which you should be, but you aren't.Quote:
Secondly "Omen", "Meteor Rain", "Arena Split", and even the "Stampede" mechanics are not designed overly complex to trick players
This fight is all about your job prowess, how well you cycle your cooldowns, how well you know what you NEED to heal. The mechanically difficult fight is going to be Lindwurm II. Omen is basically a test of your timing, it's one of the fastest mechanics in the game, and a bunch of people eat damage downs from it (remember, this is the damage optimization fight).
You think you handled the mechanics, but you didn't. It's like doing UWU and being mad that you didn't get past the LB phase, because you didn't awaken any primals.Quote:
Nevertheless, dev dramatically increases the DPS check of Tyrant savage preventing players from clearing the fight after successfully handling the above-mentioned mechanics
Why? If you can't do it, then wait till people have more gear if you're so frustrated. Why should everyone be able to clear this fight in 2 weeks??? They should just design savage so that everyone can clear in one day, so you can go back to AFKing in limsa with nothing to do for the rest of the 4 months.Quote:
but players should be able to clear such a complex savage fight with week 1 or 2 gears
If you think you're frustrated now because you can't do enough damage with the mechanics being easy ...Quote:
Dramatically increasing the DPC check without creating several complex and fun mechanics easily let players feel frustrated.
