Let us block duties from roulette

Also, I would say the real problem of forums is actually full of players who have a toxic relationship with ffxiv and refuse to quit despite feeling the urge to doom post on every positive topic here for years on a paid forum.

People queue less for the duties they don't like, which means they pop up more often in roulette to be filled.
Even if the chance is higher to get a certain duty, it's still a gamble.

I'm in favor but that means that absolutely nobody is doing Hildibrand trials and Bismarck ever again. And Thordan.

e/: I miss my friend's alt who didn't have Hildibrand unlocked... at least I'm the only one who's done the level 90 trial among my friends.

Yes I am more sick of crystal tower raids than the community is sick of DDoS's but I understand why things are the way that they are.

Sure, but then you don't get to complain about long queue times. :)

As a whole the duty roulette could use a re-work. I can get behind being allowed to block out 2-3 specific duties but maybe if it's a high traffic one there could be some type of penalty like reduced rewards to incentivize participation? MSQ has so few duties in it it should be exempt though. Personally I'm tired of seeing CT and ARR high levels in general when the whole party is clearly endgame.

I'm curious as to how this data was collected? I hit Dohn Mheg 3 times on my alt this week, each of them had a new player, I also hit Copperbell and Tower of Babil, each of them had a new player in them. Based on that limited piece of evidence, it doesn't track with what you have said. Berar in mind, we are going to need data points from a vast array of people, each one who would have had to collect data on who has what unlocked as well as the level of the jobs that are in the duty, was this all done in one expansion or was the data collected over multiple expansions? So many variables that I highly doubt anyone has taken the time to collect it all accurately and then correctly interpret the results. So, to me, this list sounds like speculation at best based on what is likely a biased assumption drawn from the way the human brain works.

I think its okay to have the benefit of the doubt for how statistics are collected but as to your own experiences, they are just that your own experiences.

In contrast to your own experiences i keep getting crystal towers where there isnt a single sprout in sight for my alliance roulettes despite all the methods they applied to make sure that isnt the case, but then again thats just my own experience and not anything else.

Although Leveling Roulette and Alliance Roulette share some surface-level similarities, the problems associated with each stem from very different circumstances and player motivations. Treating them as the same issue overlooks important distinctions.

Because, contrary to popular belief, people often queue for Crystal Tower directly because it’s the easiest and fastest, especially when working on relic weapons. These raids are so multi-beneficial that people forget others are running them too, not just sprouts. If 23 people dislike Crystal Tower but one person queues for it directly, those 23 get pulled in because that one person wanted it for their own reasons, effectively holding everyone else hostage. And yes, this happens far more frequently than people are willing to admit.

If I were to add another factor to consider, I wouldn’t be surprised if bot activity plays a role. Crystal Tower’s simplicity and predictability make it an ideal environment for bots to run for long periods with minimal risk of detection.

Yes ofc, nothing needs to change. The purpose of roulettes is to help botters do msq raids/level characters for rmt and fake daily login numbers!
