5.0 – Shadowbringers wait: 3 months
6.0 – Endwalker wait: 7 months
7.0 – Dawntrail Tokyo, January 7–8, 2024, release: July 2, 2024, wait: 6 months

8.0 release is for may 2027, But it could be early summer 2027.

I really doubt it, will likely be January 2027 to follow the 2.5 years - don't follow fanfest dates for that, it's unreliable and has no set pattern (SHB - 3 Months)

I posted the wait times between the last Fan Fest and the release, all calculated—it wasn’t 3 months but 8 months after the last Fan Fest for Shadowbringers.

If we look at the patches with the now standard 133 days.

Patch 7.4 will be December 16th
Patch 7.5 will be April 28th

So they are able to do the LL at the NA Fanfest April 24-25th

If we're assuming 6 months from last Fanfest, then it's around April or May 2027.
7.5 and 7.55 needs to do some serious, heavy lifting if they are to keep people just somewhat engaged for an entire year.

5.0 Shadowbringers Tokyo was March 23-24 2019 (JP Time)- so a 3 month gap between that and early access.
4.0 Stormblood's last fanfest was EU, which was February 18-19, so a 4 month gap

Timings have long increased since then. Gaps between patches went from 3.5 months to 4.5 months. Gaps before expansions went from 5 months to 8-9 months. So naturally, gaps between Fanfests and release also increase.

That's gonna be a long time.

Mean, I still stand by what I said, fanfest rely on physical venues and by consequence 3rd parties that won't necessarily have dates available to follow FFXIV's patch cadence. 2.5 years seems to be what they are aiming for, so your original prediction of January is more probable. Not saying March isn't a possibility... but May is- too much lol

Also Stormblood's first fanfest was in October 13 with NA- where did you get these dates XD - genuine question

I really thought my late spring/early summer 2027 window for 8.0 was just hyperbolic dooming.
