Float only for titan fight, no bunny hopping.
Wait what? I never mentioned anything about Garuda or its difficulty. In fact this thread has nothing to do with it.
I was making a suggestion. You know, submitting an idea and adding to the discussion. Your response to the OP was simply no, why, because its "lul" and would make your fight(s) harder. Nobody is saying apply jump to Ifrit, Garuda, and every other fight in FFXIV existence. This topic is about one fight.
So you dropped your two cents, and I dropped mine. The difference here is that I thought I would add to the discussion. Other's have put forward ideas too (I like the float spell suggestion), maybe you should check if they downed Garuda too just make sure hm? If they did it's a legit suggestion right?
Not trying to bite your head off or anything but I don't need to have full accomplishments cleared in this game to make a suggestion or share an idea. Yea, your right, I haven't stepped foot in Garuda (hard).
Get off your high horse.
Jumping during quake? You do it wrong.
The summoner summon a big table and then the party members use /sit (or /pray) under the table.
Nope, GW2 actually agrees with her assesment.
Because you know, when they developed GW2 the entire platforming thing was part of the concept, so it was implemented in it's creation.
It seems to me like XIV won't have platforming as part of the concept, implementing it would cause all sorts of issues. Mostly due to the controls being unsuited for that effect.
After watching the gameplay video the controls and movement for ARR seem carbon copy of the mmo "standards," WoW, Rift, GW2 being examples of that standard.
You have a point though. Games not created from the base up with jumping mechanics in mind should probably not try and shove them into their game as an after thought. My impression though is that ARR is a game re-built from the ground up. The jumping in the video doesn't seem tacked on at all.
