Blank character select screen, lobby error 2002

Got the same issue last night and it's still ongoing for me. Superloop as well. Game works fine when I switch to my Telstra internet connection via hotspot/phone.

I also have no issues accessing my character on Crystal.

You can just explain the problem in full, you're trying to connect to an online game and your connection to the games server isnt working, you'd want to give them the IP of the server too which is 153.254.80.103

you can run CMD and ping the IP and see if it gets a response, mine does but i still cant connect.

Thanks @Darkrai4014. I will try this with my ISP. I'll also look into mudfish if this continues for a bit. I might just go out and..."touch grass" this weekend. *Cringe* Lol!

Hey all, yep same thing, Windows, rebooted pc, tried again same thing. Blank Character selection. Using Tangerine ISP. Ping worked fine no issues. I am able to watch YouTube, go to other websites etc.

Same issue here. Can connect to other DCs but not materia.

Any fix?

Superloop here as well. Definitely specific ISP issue. From seeing who is on what it seems to be ISPs that are probably borrowing lines that are offshoots of the main hitters.

I did a tracert and the endpoint is definitely fine, within 17 hops to the server; it starts having issues around 6 hopes for me for about 4 requests.
I do wonder if it matters where you are too or if it's just an overall ISP issue. Trying to contact them at the moment to give them all the details but been stuck on "Estimated Wait Time: less than 1 minute" for about 20+ minutes now, so you know how it is..

I’m in New Zealand on 2degrees so maybe not an isp issue?

I can also confirm that using a VPN works for now (I'm using ExpressVPN), it's the only "fix" at this moment.

We are on Superloop and also having this issue. We were in a dungeon when it happened last night and still can't get on this morning. My NA alts are fine though, and I have no issues logging into them.

I don't think I have a VPN so I may need to look into one, which is frustrating ;-;

Mudfish is probably the cheapest option available since its pay per traffic (like 5 aud worth of credit can probably last you an insanely long amount of time) it just requires a bit of configuration to get it working properly.
