Phys.Ranged still not getting buffed.

ALL jobs had spammable AoE potency reductions, not just MCH. ALL jobs also had their other AoEs buffed so that damage doesn't fall off as much (more damage) to targets after the first, including MCH.


On the other hand, in regards to why it didn't get buffed specifically, your guess is as good as mine. According to the tool tip, pranged aren't going to be "as affected" by upcoming content like melee and casters, which insinuates mechanics causing downtime for both of those but I think the genre of job is in a worse space in general than the other two and could use some help before the 8.0 overhaul.

Ah yeah, my mistake still in the process waking up. I ended up reading it wrong with my half blurred vison.

Edit: Still feels odd that Spread Shot and Scattergun got hit with reduced Potency.

Just play casters they are basically physical ranged at this point with how little you need to cast.

Its' a real shame that, for the numerous threads and posts complaining about BLM, the fact that (what I understand is) the lowest DPS job is getting more nerfs.

I get the impression the Devs hate MCH.

Because there wasnt a fight in a past few years that was particular bad for melee uptime.
P8s had a uptime strat , same as light rampant in E8s. PF just didnt use it.
Please give us one example that was even with the right strats or massive mitigation uptime unfriendly. (Not from the stone-age and not smth that loses you only half a gcd ofc)

Isn't the point that phys ranged deal less damage because they don't need to worry about uptime or positionals? Their current damage seems alright to me.
